Want to play with ideas? Want a more creative community? Want to start something but don't know how? We’ve co-created a FREE one-off session in Cirencester on Friday 24th May, to chat and meet others.
This test session invites you to join We Grow YOU and Kazz Hollick (freelance Artist and Creative Producer) to play with ideas, form relationships and chat.
Who is this for?
We’re aiming it at artists and creatives, plus people who work in the community in various roles. But we’re also keen to hear from people who have the desire to form relationships in these areas too, to connect you and start conversations.
What is this for?
We Grow YOU is creating a sustainable engagement model where artists support each other as well as the community, while creating opportunities for ourselves too. We believe that communities are filled with talented people who could benefit from a place to go with an idea or just a thought or feeling that something could work.
To help create this model we’re inviting creatives and community organisers of all kinds to join us at The Bothy in the centre of Cirencester on Friday 24th May 12pm-3pm where Kazz will facilitate some creative activities. You can also pop in to have a chat anytime between 10am-5pm.

We Grow YOU has been set up to do two things:
1. Create an Income Stream For Artists
2. Provide Creative Entrepreneurial Support To The Community
We do this by utilising the imagination, creativity and process of artists in the community to encourage the forming and delivery of ideas into reality. We’re looking at play/creativity/design theory models in education/business/entrepreneurship.
We are currently doing R&D (Research and Development) to test ideas around:
Creativity
Entrepreneurship
Professional and personal purpose
Community growth
Networks
Co-operative work
While at the same time encouraging individual ideation.
The future plan for We Grow YOU includes:
forming relationships with other community-based organisations, creating a sustainable and supportive network
In line with the Slow Movement we emphasise and nurture all the relationships that are being formed at this early stage so that people want to continue the connection with We Grow YOU in multiple ways
We create an organisation that practices Discipline and Openness (Chadwick Boseman quote) meaning that the culture of the org is both disciplined in its approach the way artists are, while being open and less competitive or siloed.
